A free, 45-minute physical-literacy program for children ages 4–6 with disabilities, using obstacle courses, games and group activities to practise running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking and balance.[60]
Sessions run Wednesdays, October 14–November 18, 2026, with group starts at 17:00 or 18:00 local time (America/Toronto); each child attends their assigned 45-minute group, not the entire 17:00–19:00 calendar window.[60][66]
Location: KidsAbility Waterloo, 500 Hallmark Drive, Waterloo.[60]
Children must be ages 4–6, must not have attended a previous KidsAbility Active Start program, and must be available for either group time.[60] A caregiver and child must attend one triage session before placement.[60]
Triage sessions are offered September 16, 23 and 30 at 17:00 or 18:00; use the organizer’s triage booking link.[60] Virtual caregiver orientation is October 7, 2026 at 18:00.[60]
Physical Literacy groups are for children ready for a group with minimal support; Intro to Recreation groups are for children who benefit from additional support.[60] Triage determines placement.[60]
KidsAbility says it is screening children for the fall groups; spaces are limited and a triage booking is not a confirmed program place.[60][67]
